SMW & Associates is a full service structural engineering consulting firm with offices in San Francisco and Oakland. 

Founded in 2004 by Stan Wu, S.E., SMW & Associates aims to integrate engineering seamlessly with architectural vision and owner goals while consistently maintaining an exceptional quality of work. We have extensive experience in the design of residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings, as well as technical expertise on a wide range of construction materials including wood, steel, concrete and masonry. Our immense capabilities have led us to work with many award-winning architects in California’s Bay Area.

Stan Wu is a licensed structural engineer in the State of California with over 25 years of experience. In addition, he also a graduate degree and work experience in architecture. He combines his technical and aesthetic backgrounds with his project management skills to form a unique perspective that allows him to enhance architectural designs. Stan’s leadership, innovative thinking, and responsiveness with SMW & Associates result in superb services for his clients.
